Frequently asked questions

Answers about the calculator, tools, privacy and how results are computed.

Is BlueCalc free to use?+

Yes. The local version in this project is free to run and does not require an account.

Does the calculator support scientific functions?+

Yes. It includes trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions, logarithms, square roots, powers, factorials, constants and exponentials.

What is DEG versus RAD mode?+

DEG interprets angles in degrees, while RAD interprets them in radians. For example, sin(90) is 1 in DEG mode but not in RAD mode.

Can I use my keyboard?+

Yes. Type digits and operators, press Enter for an answer and Backspace to remove the last character.

Are calculations stored on a server?+

No calculation database is included. The calculator runs in your browser. The history shown in the page is kept only while the page is open.

Are the math-tool results exact?+

Results use JavaScript floating-point arithmetic. They are excellent for normal calculations, but very large numbers or extreme precision requirements may need specialized software.

Can I customize the site?+

Yes. The Flask templates and CSS are intentionally straightforward, so you can change branding, colors and content.

Does BlueMath collect personal information?+

No. The static version has no contact form, admin inbox, or server-side data collection.
